BALLOON TENNISWhat is it?: a vigorous physical activity that helps kids improve hand-eye coordination, learn the basics of net/wall sports, and increases their heart rate!
Prep Time: 5 minutes What You Need :Several balloons, rackets ( Fly swatters, paper plates, duck tape, and popsicle sticks or just a couple of hands!) A piece of string and two chairs on which to tie it How to Play: Simple, basic version of tennis. It’s pretty self-explanatory. Toss a balloon at one of the players and start the rally, allowing them to hit it back and forth over the string. You can increase or decrease the size of the court to change the games difficulty. OR ditch the string and the goal of the game is to hit the balloon so the opponent can't hit it back up. SIDEWALK OBSTACLE COURSEGive your child a blank piece of paper and have them design a sidewalk chalk obstacle course! (STEM)
Once you draw it outside, challenge and time everyone that completes it! (PE) This activity is great for reinforcing STEM design skills and for staying active too! Source: playtivities.com ACTIVE AT HOMEHere is an awesome resource for fun activities with limited equipment.
